College Sports

College sports refers to athletic competition organized and funded by institutions of tertiary education. Most college sports are sanctioned by one of the collegiate sport governing bodies, which include the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

National Collegiate Athletic Association The NCAA is made up of three membership classifications that are known as Divisions I, II and III.
